About
Helping you know Allah through His words
Allah Initiative is a small nonprofit that publishes free readings on the Quran, written for Muslims who want to understand what they recite and to feel closer to the One they recite it to.
Why we exist
The words are already in our hearts
Most Muslims carry a part of the Quran with them every day. We recite it in every prayer, often in a language we do not fully understand. Many of us want to understand it better, and to feel that our prayer is a conversation rather than a routine, but do not know where to begin, or whom to trust.
Allah Initiative exists for that moment. Each reading takes a small part of the Quran, shows the Arabic with a named translation, explains a few key words in plain language, and offers a gentle reflection, clearly marked as reflection. The aim is not to overwhelm you with information, but to help the words you already know come alive in your prayer and your day.
You do not need to read Arabic to begin, and you do not need to create an account, subscribe, or pay. Sincere readers from any background are welcome.
Who we are
A small team, working carefully
Allah Initiative was founded in California in 2026. It is led by its founder and director and is overseen by a small board. We have no paid staff and no public premises. Every Quran passage in our readings is checked against a verified text before it is published.
This work is offered for the sake of Allah. We ask nothing of readers except that they read with care, and we hope it brings some benefit to you.
What we are not
Knowing our limits
Being honest about scope is part of being trustworthy. Allah Initiative is not a mosque, a school, or a scholarly institute, and we do not:
- issue fatwas or religious rulings, or answer personal religious questions;
- take sides in sectarian or political disputes;
- claim the endorsement of any scholar, mosque, or institution;
- offer counseling, classes, or events, or ask for donations through this website.
For questions that depend on your own circumstances, please ask a qualified teacher or scholar you trust. Our readings are meant to help you understand and reflect, and to ask better questions, not to replace that guidance.
How readings are prepared is set out in our approach. Legal details are on our legal and tax information page.
